It appears that the "community" has taken a lot of hits lately with longtime, influential wow bloggers leaving for greener pastures. As always, I'm pretty sorry to hear about that. I have a lot in common with some of these people. I'm a middle-aged guy, have a job, have a wife and kids.
DKT is alive and well. I havn't been posting as much as usual because I havn't been playing as much as usual. I've been building up wifie faction for the release of Ulduar. My guild of Icecrown (i r Guild Master) beat down 25-man raiding content a while ago. I cut down on the raiding time to spend more time doing what I need to at home.
Besides some server tinkering the last few days (which I'm sure caused some site issues here and there), DKT performing better than it ever has. You can count on me to provide the Ulduar infos once we get in there after patch day; until then, I'll try to keep you all updated on the latest specs for raiding dps.
I'm sad to hear that Omenscourge, from The Scourge, has decided to call it quits. I really respected him. He was one of the first other major Death Knight Blog to link to me (props to Me and My Ghoul for being the first). The Scourge has been awesome at providing the tanking info which is a counter point to my dps experience. I know I visited him a lot when I tinkered with tanking to compare specs and experience and such. I wish him lots of luck and thanks for the link and referrals.
Secondly, I'd like to pay tribute to BRK. When I first read about it, I honestly thought it was an early April Fools joke. When you think of wow blog, the first thing that comes to mind is BigRedKitty.net; he's the big man on campus. I had to stop and ask myself how this was possible. For every blogger, being linked by someone like BRK is a badge of wow-blogging-honor. I know the community as a whole will miss him.
I kind of consider myself an "underground blogger", not really noticed by people like BRK and his blogging circle. I've badgered WarcraftBloggers.com several times to add me to their blog roll and they still haven't /glare ... guess I'm not good enough for them. I thank those of you who have linked me on your sites. I'm proud to be one of the first DK Blogs out there. I started my site back before beta ended (yes, I was cool enough to have a beta key for WOTLK). I do this for me, I do this for you; I understand why other people choose to quit, but I will continue to be here. Link to me, join my RSS Feed, or email me comments to questions@deathknighttactics.com. I welcome your comments
